The Eleven Mile House was originally one of the many "Mile" houses as one traveled west from downtown St. Louis. For many years it was a free-standing building at the corner of Manchester Road and Woodlawn. Sometime in the 1940's, the "Eleven Mile House" opened as a restaurant, complete with a popular Beer Garden.
The original building was razed when Greentree Center was developed. Many generations have enjoyed "The House" and still frequent the establishment; many consider it to be a second home. Our goal is to preserve this piece of history for years to come. We, the Caldwell family, and the family of the Eleven Mile House, want to thank you for your continued love and support.
